Les Chorégies d’Orange Festival has announced a repertoire change for its 2021 edition.

Per an official press release, the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro alla Scala have informed the festival that they are forced to cancel their participation in a concert scheduled for July 24, 2021, due to ongoing concerns over the spread of COVID-19. As a result, the event “Nuit Italienne” has been replaced with the “Nuit verdienne.”

“Nuit verdienne” will spotlight Roberto Alagna, Ildar Abdrazakov, and Ludovic Tézier who will perform alongside Maestro Konstantin Tchoudovski and l’Orchestre national de Lyon.

Roberto Alagna will also star in Jean-Louis Grinda’s production of Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Samson et Dalila” alongside Marie-Nicole Lemieux as Dalila.

Les Chorégies d’Orange will take place from July 2 until July 31, 2021.
