Renée Fleming To Join French Cultural Center For Fundraiser

By David Salazar

Soprano Renée Fleming is set to join the French Cultural Center on Saturday, March 12, 2019 at the Somerset Club as part of a fundraiser.

The intent of the dinner is to develop support for the Cultural Center’s  Mosaïque Cultural Fund, which raises money for all kinds of activities that range from exhibits, concerts, film screenings, author talks, and children’s workshops, among other things.

The event will feature Fleming in conversation with Mark Volpe, Managing Director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

The renowned soprano, who was recently nominated for a Grammy for her involvement in the Met Opera’s recording of “Der Rosenkavalier,”  is set to perform alongside the Boston Symphony on March 14-16 in an all-Strauss program. The program will also include the final scene from “Capriccio.” She is also set to perform a number of concerts at Tanglewood this summer.
