The New Albany Symphony Orchestra (NASO) will welcome soprano Renée Fleming for its Great Artist Gala on April 24, 2026, at the McCoy Center for the Arts in New Albany, Ohio.
Conducted by Luis Biava, the one-night-only event will feature Fleming’s program “Voice of Nature: The Anthropocene,” inspired by her 2023 Grammy Award-winning album of the same name. The first half of the program pairs National Geographic film accompaniment with selections including works by Händel, Björk, Björk, Nico Muhly, Joseph Canteloube and Heitor Villa-Lobos, while the second half features arias from Händel’s “Semele” and “Samson,” Puccini’s “O mio babbino caro,” and selections from “My Fair Lady” and “The Visit.”
“This performance is a powerful reflection on the beauty and fragility of our planet,” Fleming said, per an official press release. “Through music and imagery, Voice of Nature invites audiences to connect more deeply with the world around them.”
There will be a post-concert VIP gala reception and meet-and-greet with the famed soprano.
