Renée Fleming to Deliver Keynote at Festival Napa Valley’s Music & Wellness Summit

Festival Napa Valley, in association with One Mind, will present its 2026 Music & Wellness Summit on July 10 at CIA at Copia in Napa, California. Soprano Renée Fleming will deliver the keynote address at the one-day event.

The Summit’s program includes lectures, case studies, and interactive workshops led by a roster of neuroscientists, psychologists, and community leaders. Aniruddh D. Patel of Tufts University will present on music’s impact on the brain and cognitive function. Chris Appleton, founder of SocialRx, will address social prescribing and community-based arts as tools for mental health. Dr. Indre Viskontas of the University of San Francisco will explore music as a precision tool for psychiatric and neurological care. Francisco J. Núñez, founder of the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, will offer a case study on music, youth mental health, and belonging. Gary Muszynski of Orchestrating Excellence will lead an interactive ensemble workshop.

Fleming is a five-time Grammy Award winner and recipient of the U.S. National Medal of Arts. In 2023, the World Health Organization appointed her Goodwill Ambassador for Arts and Health. She is also the editor of the 2024 anthology Music and Mind: Harnessing the Arts for Health and Wellness and a champion of the NeuroArts Blueprint initiative at Johns Hopkins University.

The Summit also features a free public Expo showcasing organizations at the forefront of music and health innovation.
