Renée Fleming is paying tribute to Dolly Parton after her passing at the age of 80.

The soprano took to social media and said, “Dolly Parton was everything an artist can hope to be. Her goodness shone in whatever she did, from her beautiful, unmistakable voice to her inspiring philanthropy, in programs like her Imagination Library, scholarships, support of medical research, and disaster relief. She is truly irreplaceable, but her music will continue to bring joy to millions around the world. Rest in peace, Dolly.”

Fleming recently collaborated with Parton on her latest album, “The Fiddle and the Drum” on the song “In The Pines.”

Other classical musicians who are honoring Parton include Ailyn Pérez, Leonard Slatkin, John Brancy, and Elizabeth Deshong, among others.

Parton was a legendary American musician, songwriter, actress, philanthropist, and businesswoman. Dubbed the “Queen of Country”, she won eleven Grammy Awards, three Emmy Awards and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
