Renée Fleming, Matthias Goerne & Louise Alder Lead The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra’s 2021-22 Season

The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in the Netherlands has announced its 2021-22 season featuring soloists from around the world.

For this article, we will only highlight the vocal performances.

Renée Fleming performs music by Messian and Debussy. The superstar is joined by conductor Daniel Harding.

Performance Dates: August 20-31, 2021

John Eliot Gardiner conducts the Monteverdi Choir in an all Brahms program.

Performance Dates: Sept. 16-19, 2021

Tan Dun conducts an evening of his works including Requiem of for Nature and a New Work for Trombone. The concert will feature the Rotterdam Symphony Orchestra and trombonist Jorgen van Rijen.

Performance Date: Nov. 4 & 5, 2021

Matthias Goerne and Jaap van Zweden perform Mahler as well as Beethoven and Tawfiq.

Performance Date: Dec 23, 2021

Matthias Goerne and Jaap van Zweden perform a Christmas concert of muic by Beethoven and Mahler.

Performance Date: Dec. 25, 2021

Stéphane Denève conducts Kelly O’Connor in music by Jennifer Higdon, John Williams, Erich Korngold, and Bernard Hermann.

Performance Dates: Jan. 27 & 30, 2022

Constantinos Carydis conducts Louise Alder in an evening of music by Respighi, Debussy, Cateloube, and Skalkottas.

Performance Dates: Feb. 16-18, 2022

Trevor Pinnock conducts St John Passion with soloists Florian Boesch, Maximilian Schmitt, Julia Kleiter, Catriona Morrison, and Mauro Peter.

Performance Dates:  April 8 & 10, 2022

David Robertson conducts Cantando Amont in a problem of works by Ligeti, Furrerm De Morales, Ketting, and Feldman.

Performance Dates: May 6 & 7, 2022
