The Chorus America Conference will head to St. Louis this year.
The event will take place from June 5-7, 2025. The Conference will open with “Music and the Mind,” led by Renée Fleming. Additionally, there will be performances by such organizations as The Bach Society of Saint Louis, St. Louis Women’s Chorale, Continuum Vocal Ensemble, The Sheldon All-Star Chorus and The St. Louis Children’s Choirs on June 6.
There will also be a public event on June 7, “Bach Talk Live: Leonard Slatkin Unscripted,” featuring the famed Conductor Laureate of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
Another event on June 7 is a “Gospel Sing” hosted by Rollo Dilworth, composer, conductor and Vice Dean and Professor of Choral Music Education at Temple University, and Maria A. Ellis, Artistic Director of The Sheldon’s All-Star Chorus and the University of Missouri-St. Louis Voices of Jubilation Ensemble.
“We are excited to bring our 2025 Conference to St. Louis this year, a city with a vibrant, collaborative choral community,” said Christopher Eanes, Chorus America President and CEO, per an official press release. “The blend of historic institutions, innovative groups and a rich gospel tradition reflects the city’s dynamic spirit. It’s an inspiring location to come together to celebrate and strengthen the power of choral music and to build new connections for the future.”
