re:Naissance has announced a media sneak peek to take place at an upcoming rehearsal for “Eurydice Fragments.”

Luke Hathaway and Teiya Kasahara’s new opera is an immersive reimagining of the Greek Orphean myth, blending vocal performances, dance, XR, and motion capture technology to explore identity beyond binaries. It follows O, a trans individual navigating self-expression through virtual avatars in a quest for wholeness.

Media are invited to capture photographs watch a duet between Teiya Kasahara and Asitha Tennekoon with musical accompaniment and screen projections, and conduct interviews with the cast and crew. The media event will take place at Signals Studio at the Centre for Digital Media on Nov. 13 at 10 a.m.

“Eurydice Fragments” is set to make its world premiere at IndieFest Nov. 15-17 at the Signals Studio at the Centre for Digital Media.
