
Regents Opera Reveals Summer Slate 2025
By David SalazarRegents Opera has announced the two upcoming showcases that will be featured as part of its summer season.
First up, the company will go on tour with “La Bohème” from June through August 2025. The production will be directed by Sasha Regan and conducted by Ben Woodward. Christine Buras, Davide Basso, Sam Pantcheff, Leila Alexander, Geoff Clapham, Ashley Mercer, and Andrew Tinkler headline the work, which tours through Shropshire, Sussex, and London in June and July before heading to France from July 25 – August 10.
Then in August comes a production of “Tristan und Isolde” in partnership with ShatterBrain Productions. More details on the production will be announced at a later date.
The company also revealed that it will present Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection” on Oct. 5, 2025. Soloists include Mae Heydorn and Catharine Woodward.
The company is coming off a highly successful run of “Der Ring des Nibelungen” this past February. At one point, the company had to release an extra 100 tickets for the ring cycle due to high demand. That came following the addition of an extra performance.
