Random Opera Company has announced casting news for its world premiere performances of “Elena e Gerardo.”

The company revealed that the opera by Marianna Bottini will feature Kelli-Ann Masterson as Elena, Katie Macdonald as Gerardo, Siân Griffiths as Laura, Rhydian Jenkins as Vittorio, and Martin Lamb as Pietro.

Masterson has performed at such companies as the Irish National Opera, Wexford Festival Opera, and Opera Collective Ireland.

Macdonald is an Oxford Lieder Young Artist, a Britten-Pears Young Artist, and a Voces8 Scholar. She has appeared with such companies as Opera Holland Park, and the British Youth Opera.

Griffiths’ resume has seen her perform with the English National Opera, Scottish Opera, Welsh National Opera, and Opera North.

Jenkins has performed with the Welsh National Opera, Opera North, Scottish Opera, and English National Opera.

Finally, Lamb has appeared at the English National Opera, Scottish Opera, Diva Opera, and Garsington Opera.

The opera will be conducted by Thomas Payne and directed by Richard Tegid Jones.

“Elena e Gerardo” is set to world premiere on Oct. 28, 2023 at the Temple Speech Room, Rugby.
