Rai5 is set to present the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma’s production of Mozart’s “Zaide” on March 24.

The TV premiere will showcase the Graham Vick production which was performed in October 2020 and was conducted by Daniele Gatti.

The production starred Chen Reiss in the title role of Zaide, Paul Nilon as Soliman, and Juan Francisco Gatell as Gomatz.

Markus Werba and Davide Giangregorio also starred as Allazim and Osmin and Raffaele Feo, Luca Cervoni, Domingo Pellicola, and Rodrigo Ortiz rounded out the cast.

The new production was a co-production with the Teatri di OperaLombardia  (Teatro Sociale di Como/Aslico, Teatro Ponchielli di Cremona, Teatro Fraschini di Pavia and Teatro Grande di Brescia).

Audiences can watch the opera on Rai5 at 8:15 Italian time.
