
Rai 5 to Present ‘Le Willis’ with Lidia Fridman

The production, shown at the Torre del Lago at the 70° Festival Puccini 2024, was performed in Pier Luigi Pizzi’s production with Gheorghe Iancu choreographing.
Massimo Zanetti conducted the opera which starred Giuseppe De Luca, Lidia Fridman, and Vincenzo Costanzo. Barbara Napolitano is the TV director.
“Le Willis” is an opera in one act in two parts with a libretto by Ferdinando Fontana.
The opera was performed in a double bill with “Edgar” on July 12 and 19, 2024. The 2024 festival is celebrating Giacomo Puccini’s 100 years after his death and is also presenting “Manon Lescaut,” “Turandot,” “Tosca” and “La Boheme.” “Festival Puccini” runs through August 24, 2024.
Fridman recently celebrated Puccini’s anniversary in a gala “Puccini Secondo Muti” alongside Riccardo Muti, Francesco Meli, Eleonora Buratto, Luciano Ganci, Dmitry Korchak, and Mariangela Sicilia.
