The soprano announced via social media that she was ill and would not be able to sing. The soprano stated, “Dear friends, I am sorry to let you know that I have to cancel tonight’s performance of ‘Tosca’ at the Royal Opera House and apologize to anyone who was planning to see and hear me this evening! Unfortunately, I have an infection in my throat and chest and am unable to sing tonight. It was my last ‘Tosca’ at the ROH this season and I was very much looking forward to singing tonight. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the wonderful audience, the fantastic ROH team, my amazing colleagues, our maestro, and the wonderful ROH orchestra. It has been a joy to work with you!!! Love to you all and all the best!!!”
