The Canadian Opera Company is set to present Verdi’s “Macbeth” in a new production Sir. David McVicar.

The production, which will star Quinn Kelsey in the title role and Sondra Radvanovsky as Lady Macbeth, will be performed at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts between April 28 and May 20, 2023.

Kelsey will make his role debut as Macbeth, while Radvanovsky will reprise her acclaimed turn from the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Both stars will be joined by a cast that includes Turkish bass Önay Köse as Banquo and Matthew Cairns as Macduff. The cast will be rounded out by Adam Luther, Tracy Cantin, Vartan Gabrielian, Clarence Frazer, Roland Piers, Jim Vanderlip, Giles Tomkins, Charlotte Siegel, and Midori Marsh.

The COC will welcome Speranza Scappucci to the podium.
