Pretty Yende has announced the cancelation of upcoming projects due to a serious family situation.

In a social media post, the soprano said, “Due to very concerning and serious family circumstances, I am unable to fulfill some of the projects I was absolutely looking forward to this season.”

Among those projects are “Mitridate” in the Teatro Real, the concert with Nadine Sierra at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, and a production of “Lucia di Lammermoor” at the Semperoper Dresden.

Yende thanked the administrations and general managers for their understanding and support.

Yende was set to perform in Concert with Nadine Sierra on April 6, “Mitride, Re di Ponto” on March 23, 26, 28 April 5 & 9, 2025, and “Lucia di Lammermoor” on April 20, 25, 29, May 4, and 8, 2025.

She returns to the stage for “La Fille du Regiment” at the Teatro San Carlo on May 18, 2025.
