Prague Summer Nights Announces Marin Alsop as Distinguished Guest Conductor for 2025

Marin Alsop will be honored as the distinguished guest conductor for Prague Summer Night’s 10th anniversary in 2025.

Per an official press release, the world-renowned conductor will participate in the PSN Apprentice Conducting Program, leading the orchestra in performances of Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 at Burgher’s Hall in Plzen.

Prague Summer Nights will take place at The Festsaal (Haus der Industrie) in Austria, Smetana Hall in Prague, Střelnice in Tábor, Oskar Nedbal Theater in Tábor, Burgher’s Hall in Plzen, and Suk Hall (Rudolfinum) in Prague between June 16 – July 14, 2025.

Meanwhile, Alsop’s 2025 slate, in addition to the Prague Summer Nights, includes performances with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, NOSPR, San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and Washington National Opera, among others.
