Portland Opera Unveils 2026-27 Season ‘Driven by Vision’

Portland Opera has announced its 2026-27 season, titled “Driven by Vision.”

The season opens with Verdi’s “La Traviata” presented in concert at the Keller Auditorium.

Performance Dates: Nov. 6 & 8, 2026


Portland Opera to Go presents “The Crown Maker,” a world premiere opera composed by Jesse J. Sanchez with a libretto by Maya Malán-González. The third installment in the company’s “Our Oregon” series, the work celebrates the life and cultural impact of Eva Castellanoz, a Mexican American healer, artist, and advocate for immigrant rights. Performances take place at the World Trade Center Theatre.

Performance Dates: Dec. 4 & 5, 2026


Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess,” in an arrangement by Russell Garcia, with libretto by DuBose and Dorothy Heyward and lyrics by DuBose Heyward and Ira Gershwin, is presented in a live radio-show style format at the Newmark Theatre.

Performance Dates: March 5 – 13, 2027
