The Polish National Opera will open the New Year on Jan. 7, 2025 with a symphonic concert.

The program will open with Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Leonore” Overture No. 3, Op. 72, Richard Strauss’s “Four Last Songs,” and Sergei Prokofiev’s ballet “Romeo and Juliet.”

Julia Kleiter will perform alongside the Orchestra of the Polish National Opera and conductor Yoel Gamzou.

Gamzou was Carlo Maria Giulini’s final student and has conducted the Swedish RSO, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Essen Philharmonic, and Sinfonieorchester Bern. Meanwhile, Kleiter has performed in Brussels, Berlin, Vienna, and Baden-Baden, among others.
