Polish National Opera Launches Streaming

The Polish National Opera in Warsaw is offering free streams through its website.

The company, which has also teamed up with OperaVision, will begin streaming with a recent 2018 production of Bizet’s “Carmen” under the direction of Keri Lynn Wilson.

Opera Nardowa will stream the work on March 31 and April 2. It also streamed othe pera on March 28.

The company is also offering other operas on its platform, including a production of “Halka” and “Paria.” OperaVision is offering a production of “Tosca” starring Ewa Vesin, Mickael Spadaccini, and Krzysztof Szumański.

The company is expected to announce more streams in the coming days.

Teatr Wielki closed its doors on March 12 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
