The Polish National Opera has been forced to extend its closure until May 7.

The company announced that the Polish government extended restrictions and as a result will cancel the May 7 performance of “Werther.”

The company also announced that the sales of tickets to “Werther” on May 9 and all educational projects scheduled in May have been put on hold. Meanwhile, the art workshops accompanying the Jan Cybis exhibition on May 15 and Meetings with Muzalinda on May 30 will still be held.

The Premiere of “Prelude: Franz Liszt” has already been moved from May 20 to June 2, while the premiere of the ballet “Mayerling” will take place on June 4 instead of 21 May.

The company also announced that while the auditorium doors remain closed, Krzysztof Pastor’s “Romeo and Juliet” will be shown on vod.teatrwielki.pl and OperaVision.
