Piotr Beczała, Sonya Yoncheva, Asmik Grigorian, Lisette Oropesa, Lise Davidsen Headline Metropolitan Opera’s 2025-26 Live in HD Season

The Metropolitan Opera has announced its 2025-26 season, which means that we now know what the vaunted Live in HD series has in store as well.

The series opens with “La Sonnambula.” Nadine Sierra and Xabier Anduaga star. Riccardo Frizza conducts the new production by Rolando Villazón.

HD Date: Oct. 18, 2025

Next up the company brings “La Bohème” to cinemas around the world. This is the fourth HD performance of the opera following showcases in 2008, 2014, and 2018. Keri-Lynn Wilson conducts a cast starring Juliana Grigoryan, Heidi Stober, Freddie De Tommaso, and Lucas Meachem.

HD Date: Nov. 8, 2025

Arabella” also gets a live in HD performance. Rachel Willis-Sørensen stars alongside Louise Alder, Pavel Breslik, Brindley Sherrat, and Tomasz Konieczny.

HD Date: Nov. 22, 2025

Closing out the HD slate in 2025 is “Andrea Chénier.” Piotr Beczała and Sonya Yoncheva star. Daniele Rustioni conducts.

HD Date: Dec. 13, 2025

I Puritani” opens the HD slate in 2026. Lisette Oropesa and Lawrence Brownlee are the headliners of Charles Edwards’ production. Marco Armiliato conducts.

HD Date: Jan. 10, 2026

Tristan und Isolde” is next up on the schedule with Lise Davidsen and Michael Spyres as the star-crossed lovers. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts the Yuval Sharon production.

HD Date: March 21, 2026

Eugene Onegin” gets its fourth HD performance following showcases in 2007, 2013, and 2017. Asmik Grigorian, Igor Golovatenko, Stephanie Blythe, and Stanislas de Barbeyrac star. Timur Zangiev conducts.

HD Date: May 9, 2026

Gabriela Lena Frank’s “El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego” closes out the Live in HD series for 2025-26. Isabel Leonard leads the cast that also includes Nils Wanderer, and Carlos Álvarez. Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts.
