Piotr Beczala has canceled his upcoming concert at Andermatt Music on May 27, 2023.

The tenor took to social media and said, “Dear friends, it is with great regret that I inform you that due to a strong infection, I am forced to cancel my participation in the concert in Andermatt. Warm greetings, Piotr.”

As a result, Martin Muehle will take over the evening.

Muehle will perform alongside Sylvia D’Eramo and the Swiss Orchestra. Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer conducts a program that includes music by Verdi, Puccini, Bizet, Charpentier, Dvořák, and Lehar.

Beczala will return to the stage in June for a new production of “Turandot” Zurich.
