The Bayreuth Festival has unveiled its 2025 season.

The season opens with “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” starring Michael Spyres, Georg Zeppenfeld, Christina Nilsson, Christa Mayer, and Matthias Stier. Daniele Gatti conducts and Matthias Davids directs.

Performance Dates: July 25 – August 22, 2025

Valentin Schwarz’s “Das Rheingold” will be conducted by Simone Young and features Tomas Konieczny, Olafur Sigurdarson, Daniele Behle, Christa Mayer, Christina Nilsson, and Anna Kissjudit.

Performance Dates: July 26 & August 15, 2025

Simone Young conducts “Die Walküre.” Michael Spyres, Catherine Foster, Tomasz Konieczny, and Christa Mayer star.

Performance Dates: July 27 – August 16, 2025

Pablo Heras-Casado conducts Jay Scheib’s “Parsifal” starring Michael Volle, Andreas Schager, Georg Zeppenfeld, and Elīna Garanča.

Performance Dates: July 28 – August 26, 2025

Klaus Florian Vogt stars as “Siegfried.” Simone Young conducts a cast also starring Tomasz Konieczny, Ya-Chung Huang, Olafur Sigurdarson, and Catherine Foster.

Performance Dates: July 29 & August 18, 2025

Klaus Florian Vogt, Michael Kupfer-Radecky, Olafur Sigurdarson, Mika Kares, Christa Mayer, Catherine Foster, and Gabriela Scherer star in “Götterdämmerung.” Simone Young conducts.

Performance Dates: July 31 – August 20, 2025

Christian Thielemann conducts “Lohengrin” with Mika Kares, Piotr Beczala, Olafur Sigurdarson, and Miina-Liisa Värelä. Yuval Sharon directs.

Performance Dates: August 1 – 9, 2025

For “Tristan und Isolde,” audiences will see Andreas Schager, Günther Groissböck, and Camilla Nylund. Semyon Bychkov conducts a production by Torleifur Örn Arnarsson.

Performance Dates: August 3 – 25, 2025
