
Vox Luminis, Barcelona Bruckner Choir, O Vos Omnes Perform in Easter Edition of Festival Perelada 2026
By Afton MarkayThe Festival Perelada is set to present its 4th Easter Edition.
The Festival opens with the revival of “Cristo condannato” by Antonio Caldara and Pietro Pariati. The cast includes Ana Quintans, Maite Beaumont, Nicolas Brooymans, Montserrat Seró, and Josep Ramon Olivé, accompanied by the Francesc Valls Choir, under the direction of Pere Lluís Biosca, who debuts at the festival as a resident artist, as well as Vespres d’Arnadí, with Dani Espasa on the harpsichord and directing.

“La luz del lobo no pesa” by Aurora Bauzà and Pere Jou, in collaboration with light artist Jou Serra is performed by the Barcelona Bruckner Choir. Júlia Sesé conducts.

Les Arts Florissants present “Leçons de Ténèbres” by François Couperin. William Christie conducts and accompanies on the harpsichord.

Lionel Meunier and Vox Luminis present “Ein deutsches Barockrequiem” featuring sacred German music of the 17th and early 18th centuries by such as Scharmann, Selle, Schein, Geist, Hammerschmidt, and Förtsch.

O Vos Omnes perform “The Officium Defunctorum” by Tomás Luis de Victoria. Xavier Pastrana is the musical director.

Yewon Han, Marcela Rahal, Filipe Manu, and Manuel Fuentes solo in the motet “Ave verum corpus” and the “Missa brevis” in G major, KV 49 by Mozart, along with the “Mass” in G major, D 167 by Schubert. They perform together with the Francesc Valls Choir and the Franz Schubert Philharmonia. Guillermo García Calvo conducts.
