Piotr Beczała Awarded Medalla d’Oro from Gran Teatre del Liceu

Piotr Beczała has been awarded the Medalla De Oro from the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

The tenor is one of the four recipients for 2024 and took to social media stating, “On this special day of the premiere, I’m excited to share some wonderful news with you! I have been honored with the Medalla d’Or del Gran Teatre del Liceu 2024! This prestigious award is an incredible honor and brings me great joy, as this theater has held a special place in my heart for a long time ❤️ I always look forward to performing for the Barcelona audience with great excitement. Thank you! ”

Beczała is being recognized for his predisposition towards the Liceu, his full availability at all times, and the deep affection he has shown towards the theater, contributing significantly to its growth and prestige.

Other honorees include composer Raquel García-Tomás, agent Miquel Lerín (Concurso Tenor Viñas), businessman Ramon Agenjo (presidente de Barcelona Global), the Amics del Liceu, and the companies Telefónica and IT Dansa.
