The Pinchgut Opera has announced its 2026 season.

The season opens with Pinchgut’s first-ever orchestral concert, Bach and Telemann I: Concertos and Sonatas. The first installment of a two-part series in 2026 will feature music by Telemann and Bach.

Performance Dates: March 28 & 29, 2026

The second production of the season will be Scarlatti’s “The First Murder (Il primo omicidio).” Dean Bryant will direct the production with a cast that includes Sara Macliver, Ashlyn Tymms, Madison Nonoa, and Kyle Stegall. Erin Helyard conducts.

Performance Dates: May 23-31, 2026

“Coffee and a Dead Canary” will continue the exploration of Bach and Telemann’s works. This time it will be a concert of cantatas, concertos and more. Warwick Doddrell directs the production, which features Ariana Ricci, Nicholas Jones, and Morgan Pearsein. Erin Helyard conducts.

Performance Dates: Sept. 12 & 13, 2026

Händel’s “Semele” will conclude the season with Neil Armfield directing. Alexandra Oomens, Catherine Carby and David Webb star in the production with Erin Helyard conducting.
