
Cristina Maria Oltean to Headline ‘La Traviata’ at Oleg Danovski National Theatre of Opera and Ballet
By David SalazarThe Oleg Danovski National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Constanța, Romania will present Verdi’s “La Traviata.”
The new production opens on Jan. 31, 2026, at 6:30 p.m and features a new staging directed by Anghel I. Arbore, with sets by Cătălin I. Arbore. The cast features soprano Cristina Maria Oltean as Violetta Valéry and baritone Răzvan Săraru as Giorgio Germont. They are joined by the Oleg Danovski National Theatre’s Orchestra, Chorus, and Ballet under Sartori’s musical direction. Italian conductor Enrico Sartori will lead the production.
“Conducting La Traviata is always a return to the heart of Italian musical drama,” said Sartori, per an official press release. “Collaborating with the talented ensemble in Constanța and the production team led by Anghel Arbore is a thrilling opportunity.”
