Pentatone’s Managing Director Simon M. Eder has joined international artist management agency Intermusica as Managing Director, Business Development starting January 2022.

Eder joined Pentatone in 2013 as Marketing Director and was appointed Managing Director in 2017. During his time with the label, the organization completely rebranded and flourished into the digital era. Pentatone also focused on expanding its catalog and roster by bringing new artists and continuing its relationship with orchestras.

The label eventually won Label of the Year in 2016 by Naxos and was also awarded Label of the Year by Gramophone Magazine (2019), and by the International Classical Music Awards (2020).

On his departure from Pentatone, Eder noted, “While I am excited about my new chapter it will not be an easy farewell at the end of this year. After nine wonderful and exciting years at Pentatone, my team, our partners and especially the close collaboration with our artists will be dearly missed. It was a joy seeing the label flourish over the last years and becoming a home for some many wonderful new artists. I’m convinced of the label’s great future ahead.”
