Conductor Pedro Vázquez Marín is currently under investigation following two accusations of sexual abuse.

According to Platea Magazine, the former Music Director of the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, the conductor was arrested in April but let go by the court under a restraining order.

Vázquez was accused by two former private students, who say that the conductor abused them when they were 15 and 16 at the open fields of La Cartuja and Camas.  The conductor has denied the accusations and said that when he had relations with the girls they were adults, and that the relationships were consensual. 

Vázquez has resigned from his position at Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla where he had a contract until 2024.
