Opera Montana Announces 2026-27 Season Featuring Schyler Vargas, Lisa Marie Rogali & John Riesen

Opera Montana has announced its 2026-27 season celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The season opens with the world premiere of Zach Redler, Kelley Rourke and Matt Foss’s new opera “A River Runs Through It.” The production will star Schyler Vargas, Michael Kuhn, Christine Taylor Price, Ryan Bryce Johnson, Megan Marino, Phyllis Pancella, and David Pittsinger. Michael Sakir conducts the production by Matt Foss.

Performance Dates: Sept. 18-Oct. 4, 2026

The company will present “Once” conducted by Jared Stein and directed Susan Miller.

Performance Dates: Jan. 29-Feb. 7, 2027

Michael Sakir conducts a new production of Bizet’s “Carmen” by Ella Marchment. The cast will include Lisa Marie Rogali, John Riesen, Vanessa Isiguen, and Seunghyeon Baek.

Performance Dates: April 30-May 9, 2027
