Paul McCartney, Elliot Madore & Gilda Fiume Lead Cincinnati Opera’s 2024 Season

Cincinnati Opera has announced its 2024 Summer Festival, which will take place from June 13 to July 27, 2024.

The season opens with Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” which will star Elliot Madore, Jessica Faselt, Jessica Rivera, Aaron Blake, Christian Pursell, Erin Keesy, Joseph Parrish, and bass Patrick Guetti. Alison Moritz directs and Dame Jane Glover conducts.

Performance Dates: June 13 & 15, 2024

Vderi’s “La Traviata” is set to star Gilda Fiume, Santiago Ballerini, and Anthony Clark Evans. Lorenzo Passerini conducts and Trevore Ross directs.

Performance Dates: June 27-30, 2024 

Paul McCartney and Carl Davis’ “Liverpool Oratorio” will make its world stage premiere. The cast will include Andrew Owens, Jacqueline Echols, Kayleigh Decker, and Kevin Short. Conductor Joseph Young leads the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra while Caroline Clegg directs the production.

In a letter to the company, McCartney said, “I am writing to express my wholehearted support for this project. I believe that the Cincinnati Opera is uniquely positioned to bring this work to life in a new way, and I have no doubt that your production will be an inspiring experience for all who see it. … I look forward to its premiere next summer.”
