The Arena di Verona and Rai Cultura are set to broadcast four operas.

The first opera to be broadcast will be Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” in a production by Hugo de Ana. The opera will be shown on Rai3 on August 10 and on Rai 5 on Sept. 7. The production stars Dalibor Jenis, Vasilisa Berzhanskaya, Antonino Siragusa, Carlo Lepore, and Michele Pertusi. Alessandro Bonato conducts.

Puccini’s “Tosca” will be broadcast on August 17 on Rai 3 and Sept. 14 on Rai5. Aleksandra Kurzak, Roberto Alagna, and Luca Salsi star with Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducting.

Bizet’s “Carmen” will be broadcast from a 2022 recording on August 24 on Rai3. The Cast includes Clémentine Margaine, Gilda Fiume, Brian Jadge, and Luca Micheletti. Marco Armiliato conducts.

Finally, Verdi’s “Aida” will be shown on August 31 on Rai5. The June 16 recording stars Anna Netrebko, Yusif Eyvazov, Olesya Petrova, Roman Burdenko, and Michele Pertusi, with Marco Armiliato conducting.
