By David Salazar

Pasadena Symphony has announced its 2024-25 season, the first under music director Brett Mitchell.

There will be one vocal showcase on offer, a holiday concert at All Saints Church featuring the LA Bronze Handbell Ensemble, Donald Brinegar Singers and JPL Chorus, and Los Angeles Children’s Chorus. The vocal soloist will be announced at a later date. Mitchell conducts the showcase, which is slated for Dec. 14, 2024.

“I’m particularly pleased during my first season with Pasadena Symphony to explore a wide variety of repertoire that will showcase the breadth and scope of my brilliant colleagues’ musicianship while also featuring an inclusive roster of soloists and composers,” said Mitchell of his first season with the organization. “My intention is to showcase great music performed by great musicians.”

The program for 2024-25 also includes major works by Mahler, Mozart, Gershwin, Dvorak, and Beethoven.
