The Pasadena Choral Society, the newest ensemble of the Pasadena Chorale, will present a holiday program of music from Händel’s “Messiah” on Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at San Marino Community Church.
Launched to broaden the artistic scope of the Pasadena Chorale, the Choral Society creates additional performance opportunities for singers and audiences throughout the year. The December concert marks the ensemble’s first holiday program.
Accompanied by piano and string quartet, the ensemble will perform highlights from the famed oratorio.
“There is something truly immortal in Händel’s work. People have loved ‘Messiah’ for almost three hundred years, and hearing the work performed live is truly something special,” said Artistic Director Jeffrey Bernstein per an official press release.
The Pasadena Choral Society made its debut in April 2025 with Fauré’s “Requiem,” conducted by Bernstein.
Soloists from the Pasadena Chorale will be featured in the Dec. 10 performance.
