Palau de les Arts Announces Reopening Program

The Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Spain has announced it will reopen on June 12.

The theater, in compliance with government regulations, will showcase a cycle of recitals and concerts.

The Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, singers, and pianists at the Centre de Perfeccionament and the Cor de la Generalitat will offer a total of 11 concerts. One of the concerts will be offered exclusively to health professionals in recognition for their work during the coronavirus crisis.

The concerts will be held on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until July 11 and will be priced at five euros per ticket. Each concert will last a total of one hour and each seat will be numbered.

The theater also announced that the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana will be reduced to a chamber orchestra in order to maintain distance and the repertory will include music by Mozart, Dvořák, Barber, and Tchaikovsky. There will also be an evening dedicated to music by Donizetti, Gounod, and Beethoven.

Singers will be accompanied by pianists José Miguel Román and Stanislav Angelov.
