Overtone Industries Presents ‘Songs & Dances of Imaginary Lands’ at OperaFest LA

Overtone Industries is set to present “Songs & Dances of Imaginary Lands” at OperaFest LA.

“Songs & Dances of Imaginary Lands” follows Tom and Sue, a couple nearing the end of their lives, as they are catapulted into the various scenes from their childhood, adolescence, and adulthood after falling as victims of identity theft.

Kion Heidari and Molly Pease sing the leading roles. They are joined by Jacob Sidney, Kathryn Krasovec, Gretchen Johnson, Anthony Moresi, and Christin Byrdsong, as well as a vocal ensemble, the dancers, and even the audience. Brightwork newmusic provides accompaniment under the baton of David O. O-Lan Jones directs.

The sold out production will take place on June 7 at 7 p.m. at the Teatro Frida Kahlo.

OperaFest LA’s 2024 slate also includes performances by LA Opera, Beth Morrison Projects, Long Beach Opera, Pacific Opera Project, Synchromy, Mission Opera, and more. It runs June 1 -8.
