Operavision To Showcase ‘La Bohème’ From Mumbai

Operavision will kick off its 2019-20 series of live streams with Puccini’s “La Bohème” from the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai on September 6, 2019.

The famed opera will feature Giordano Lucà as Rodolfo with Olena Tokar as Mimì. Other cast members include Maria Mudryak, Andrea Bonsignore, Andrea Concetti, Daniele Terenzi, and Matteo Peirone.

Carlo Rizzi will conduct the Symphony Orchestra of India.

The stream kicks off at 7 p.m. local time. That’s around 1 p.m. EDT and 10 a.m. PST for the start time. It will be available for repeat viewings on Opera Vision until March 5, 2020.

The streaming service is free through OperaVision, which, per its official website, is a project “supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, OperaVision builds on the success of The Opera Platform, with more contributing opera companies from more countries, under the editorial supervision of Opera Europa, the European association of opera companies and festivals.
