Operalia Competition Announces Semi-Finalists

The Operalia competition has announced the semi-finalists for its 2023 edition.

Following two days of Quarterfinals, the competition selected 22 singers who will compete for a place in the opera finals and 12 singers who will compete in the Zarzuela finals.

The semi-finals will be held on Nov. 1 and can be seen via Facebook live on the Operalia and Plácido Domingo accounts. The finals will be held on Nov. 5 and will be available to stream on Medici.tv and via Facebook live on the Medici.tvPlácido Domingo and Operalia accounts.

The competition is being hosted by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cape Town Opera at the Artscape Theatre Centre.
