Cuban-American soprano Elena Villalón has signed with MWA for worldwide management.

A recent alumna of the Houston Grand Opera Studio and one of the youngest-ever winners of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2019, Villalón is set to compete this summer at the Operalia competition.

Next season the soprano will sing Susanna in “Le Nozze di Figaro” at Houston Grand Opera, Gretel in “Hansel und Gretel” at Dallas Opera, the Queen of Sheba in “Solomon” for an international tour with The English Concert and Harry Bicket and in Iole in a new Barrie Kosky production of “Hercules” as well as Atalanta in “Xerxes,” both at Opera Frankfurt. She is also set to make her Metropolitan Opera debut as Amore in “Orfeo ed Euridice.”

Villalón is a native of Austin, Texas, and an alumnus of the University of Cincinnati, and College Conservatory of Music. She made her professional debut as a Gerdine Young Artist at the Opera Theatre of St. Louis.
