Opera Theatre of Saint Louis has announced that Nicole Ambos Freber will be its New Managing Director of Advancement and that Anh Le will be its permanent Director of Marketing and Press Relations after holding the interim tag for five months.

Freber had worked with the company for over 20 years as the Director of Development, raising over $104 million in contributed revenue. She also serves on the national steering committee of OPERA America’s Women’s Opera Network.

“It is always a privilege to collaborate with Opera Theatre’s extraordinary staff and Board of Directors,” said Freber in a press release. “I am excited to take on this new role, which gives me the opportunity to strengthen OTSL’s connection to the St. Louis community, enhance the company’s visibility, and work with my colleagues to develop new strategies to sustain Opera Theatre’s fiscal strength.”

Le started out with the company in 2015 as the Publications and Brand Manager before moving up to Assistant Director of Marketing. Under her leadership as the Director of Marketing, the Opera Theatre’s marketing and public relationship team managed a six percent increase in total ticket sales for the 2019 Festival season.

“I am so grateful to Andrew Jorgensen and to Opera Theatre of Saint Louis for this opportunity,” said Le in the press release. “OTSL has supported my career and professional development in a way that is rare in our field. I look forward to repaying that trust by continuing to build new audiences, deepen patron engagement, and promote the incredible work of our artists both in St. Louis and across the nation.”
