
Opera Steamboat & Opera Colorado Partner for ‘Pirates of Penzance’ & Arias Concert
By David SalazarOpera Steamboat has announced a one-night collaborative performance with Opera Colorado on May 21, 2026 at the Art Depot in Steamboat Springs.
The evening will feature a program of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance” alongside a selection of arias and ensembles, showcasing Artists in Residence from Opera Colorado’s Opera on Tour program.
The cast features three returning artists. Baritone Mason O’Brien, previously seen with Opera Steamboat in “Welcome to the Madness,” joins bass-baritones Kevin Spooner and Oliver Poveda Zavala, both of whom appeared with the company in “La Bohème.”
