By Logan Martell

Opera San Jose has announced that it will extend the run of their digital concert “Love & Secrets: A Domestic Trilogy,” due to popular demand.

This 82-minute production follows three couples as they contend with all the bliss and pain that comes with love. It is conducted by OSJ Music Director Joseph Marcheso and Resident Conductor Christopher James Ray, and is directed by Resident Director Tara Branham.

The three short operas which comprise this trilogy are Wolf-Ferrari’s “Il segreto di Susanna,” featuring soprano Vanessa Becerra and baritone Efrain Solis; Ned Rorem’s “Four Dialogues,” featuring soprano Marnie Breckenridge and tenor Carlos Enrique Santello; and Tom Cipullo’s “The Husbands,” featuring mezzo Ashley Dixon and baritone Eugene Brancoveanu.

The performance was recorded in the OSJ Heiman Digital Media Studio under strict health guidelines to ensure the safety of the artists, with video production by Rapt Productions.

“Love & Secrets: A Domestic Trilogy” is now available to purchase through June 13, 2021, with tickets starting at $15 per household, and allowing for on-demand access for 30 days after purchase
