Opera Philadelphia’s films are heading to the movies this fall.

On Nov. 10 and 12, audiences will be able to check out David T. Little’s “Soldier Songs” at the Colonial Theatre, Bryn Mawr Film Institute, Ambler Theater, Princeton Garden Theatre, and County Theater.

This film will be accompanied by the 2021 short “TakTakShoo” by composer Rene Orth, which stars Kristen Choi. The film was directed by Jeffrey Page.

Meanwhile, “La Voix Humaine,” which stars Patricia Racette, will be available at these same theaters for screenings on Dec. 3 and 8, 2022. The film will be accompanied by the 2021 short “Save the Boys” by Tyshawn Sorey.

That will be followed by screenings of “Black Lodge,” another opera by David T. Little, on Jan. 21. That opera will also screen at the same theaters. Michel Joseph McQuilken directed the film.
