Opera Parallèle has announced a monthly series of free, online streamed recitals.

The recitals will begin in March and run through June. These “Close-Up” performances will combine music and stories celebrating spring themes and will feature artists from OP’s 10-year history of innovative contemporary opera.

The series will premiere on March 25 with a recital celebrating the Spring Equinox featuring Shawnette Sulker and Zachary Gordin. The second recital in the series will be on April 22 celebrating Earth Day. Tiffany Austin and Marcus Shelby headline the evening. On May 6 OP celebrates Mother’s Day with Kindra Scharich and Jeffrey LaDeur. The final recital in the series with celebrate Father’s Day and will feature Kenneth Kellogg and Kevin Korth.

All performances will be given at 5 p.m. PDT and can be streamed on Facebook or YouTube.
