Opera på Skäret has announced the cast for its summer 2026 production of Puccini’s “La Bohème.”

The production is directed by American Jennifer Williams, making her debut at Opera på Skäret, and conducted by Italian Lorenzo Coladonato.

The role of Mimì will be shared between Swedish soprano Anna Hedendahl and Ukrainian soprano Kseniya Bakhritdinova. Rodolfo is shared between South Korean tenors Ji-Min Park and Marco Lee.

Georgian baritone Otar Shishinashvili and South Korean baritone Jung Jaehong share the role of Marcello. Musetta will be sung by Swedish soprano Maria Kjellsson and Spanish soprano Laura del Rio. German baritone Maximilian Krummen sings Schaunard, Finnish bass Niklas Spångberg sings Colline, and Swedish baritone John Kinell takes the roles of Benoît and Alcindoro.

Set design is by Sven Östberg, with costumes by Alex Eriksson and Tina Akkaya.

“La Bohème” premieres July 25 and runs through August 23, performed in Italian with Swedish and English subtitles.
