OPERA NEWS has been awarded the Print Merit Award in the best editorial design competition. The accolade was bestowed on the publication by The Society of Publication Designers.

The award was given for the piece “Barred Genius” from the February 2018 issue (pictured above), which focused on the challenges of Meyerbeer’s operas have encountered throughout the ages.

OPERA NEWS previously received recognition for its August 2018 piece “Access Opera” by the Society of Illustrators.

“Being honored by this prestigious organization is a direct testament to our talent, determination, and passion for telling engaging and meaningful stories, not just with words, but through the art form,” said Trent Johnson, Design Director, OPERA NEWS, in a press release.“We are proud to have earned recognition among a well-respected circle of publications who are equally devoted to sharing compelling works.”
