The Opéra National de Paris will present “Richard Wagner, les révolutions du Ring,” an exhibition organized with the Bibliothèque nationale de France, at the Palais Garnier starting on Oct. 27, 2026.

The exhibition coincides with a new production of Wagner’s “Der Ring des Nibelungen” cycle at the Opéra Bastille, directed by Calixto Bieito. Drawing on more than one hundred works from the collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France, museums and private collections, the exhibition explores the genesis of the “Ring” tetralogy as well as its staging challengings and transcendence across all art forms.

The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with exceptions for occasional closures, and is included with tickets for the self guided visit of the Palais Garnier. An accompanying catalogue, edited by Marion Mirande and Olivier Mabille, is being published jointly by the Paris Opera and GrandPalaisRmn Éditions.

The exhibition runs through Feb. 20, 2027.
