Opéra National de Paris to Present ‘A Quiet Place’

The Opéra National de Paris is set to present historic premiere of Leonard Bernstein’s “A Quiet Place” starting on March 9, 2022.

This series of performances represents the first time that the work is brought to the stage in France. The opera, which will be presented at the Palais Garnier, will be directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski and conducted by Kent Nagano. Sets and costumes are designed by Malgorzata Szczesniak with lighting designed by Felice Ross. Kami Polak will provide video with Miron Hakenbeck taking on dramaturgy. There is also artistic collaboration by Claude Bardouil.

It will star Claudia Boyle, Frédéric Antoun, Gordon Bintner, Russell Braun, Colin Judson, Régis Mengus, Hélène Schiederman, Loïc Félix, Jean-Luc Ballestra, Emanuela Pascu, Marianne Croux, Rayma Roy, Klup Lee, Nial Anderson, and Johanna Wokalek.

In sum there will be 11 performances through March 30, 2022.
