Opera Memphis Announces New Staff Members

Opera Memphis has announced new staff members.

The company revealed that Kathryn Elliott will be its new Director of Education and Shelbi Sellers will be the new Director of Partnerships.

Elliott, a graduate of Western Kentucky University and Virginia Commonwealth University, has directed choirs in the secondary choral music classroom for over 10 years.

Meanwhile, Sellers is a singer, actor, dancer, and choreographer who studied at the University of Memphis. She has worked with such companies as Playhouse on the Square, Theatre Memphis, and Desoto Family Theatre, among others.

This past season, the company put on productions of “Tosca” and “The Rising and the Falling,” among others.
