Opera Holland Park has announced a cast change for its “Opera in Song: The Marriage of Figaro.”

The company announced that Nardus Williams is indisposed and will be unable to perform in the upcoming recital on July 27 July. As a result, Louise Alder will be stepping in on short notice.

Alder is a well-known British soprano who has performed at the Wiener Staatsoper, The Grange Park Opera, Wigmore Hall, Canadian Opera Company, and Bayerische Staatsoper, among others.

The soprano will join a cast that includes Julien Van Mellaerts and Simon Lepper.  The concert will feature songs and duets by Brahms, Mahler, Duparc, Gounod, Vaughan Williams, Obradors and Toldrá, Van Mellaerts, Williams, and Lepper.
